We received a very warm welcome from Marty when we arrived at short notice during our "Sawdays Road Trip" from Somerset to Italy. Chateau de Vaulx is a fabulous building that has undergone some serious renovations in recent years. Being a building geek I was fascinated by Marty's account of the works and history of his home. This is a must stay venue if you are looking to stay in this region. We booked an overnight stopover at Chateau de Vaulx this past Saturday night on our way to Samoens, and were so pleased that we stayed with Marty & Team. The location and venue are stunning and enchanting. We all enjoyed the chance to unwind in the swimming pool and Marty recommended and booked for usgreat restaurant nearby to eat that night. The family room we stayed in for the night was spacious and perfectly suited for 2 adults and 2 children, with en suite facilities. The chateau has been sympathetically restored over the years, and the attention to detail is very impressive. It feels like a real "home from home". If you are looking for a stay in this area, forget the rest and book the best here. We will definitely return and stay longer next time, and will recommend this venue to all our friends and family.
