Vaulx was linked to the Choiseul family until the fifteenth century. According to Father Claude Courtépée, Chizeuil would be a distortion of Choiseul.

I've discovered Vaulx at the very beginning of his opening, I was going to meet a special person there. I've been in love with this person since, I've been in love with this place since. It is, still today, the only place I relax and enjoy every single moment I spent there. Marty and Thierry are the best guests, and friends, someone could ask for. Fantastic Accommodation and hospitality

We stayed as a stop over on the way back from Fréjus, South of France. Marty is a fantastic host, the children ate before us and went off up to bed leaving us to have a feast of restaurant standard food with the other guests and plenty of wine. Our room was great, full of character, clean and really comfortable. The chateau is wonderful with grounds to peruse at your leisure and impressive

views across the valley. Marty could not do enough to make us feel welcome and during our short stay nothing was too much trouble (our three children are quite demanding) - well worth the money, if we get the chance we will definitely be back.

Un havre de paix, avec un accueil exceptionnel, le tout dans un cadre magnifique

Lors de ma première visite en mai 2010, j'ai adoré ce lieu. J'ai trouvé un accueil chaleureux de la part de Marty, à la fois discret et aux petits soins pour ses hôtes. Je n'avais pas oublié ce château magnifique, où l'on se sens bien tout simplement et on se réveille dans la douceur des draps en écoutant le chant des oiseaux. Même les jours de pluie, se passent bien, le salon, la cheminée et les

jeux de société, et la bibliothèque vous tendent les bras pour passer un bon moment. Je suis retournée au Château de Vaulx en juillet 2013, et là encore c'était un émerveillement.... J'ai hâte de revenir...et de découvrir le gîte avec des amis cette fois.
